Tech X is led by a systems-engineering contractor with twelve years of experience supporting NASA programs at Kennedy Space Center.

Responsibilities included Windows Server, Active Directory, desktop systems, hardware, data centers, firing-room consoles, and interconnected launch-control systems.

As a Senior Systems Engineer, Danny supported system configuration, testing, and launch-control operations across development, test, and production environments in Launch Control Center Firing Rooms 1, 2, and 3.

Tech X applies the same disciplined approach to every customer: understand the system, isolate the problem, protect the environment, and document the resolution.

firing room one

From Apollo and Shuttle to Artemis II.

Kennedy Space Center's Launch Control Center was built in 1967 for Apollo. Firing Room 1 supported early Apollo missions and the first Space Shuttle flight, then was modernized for the Artemis era—including Artemis I in 2022 and the first crewed Artemis mission in 2026.

1967

Built for Apollo

In 1967, the Launch Control Center opened to direct Apollo launch operations from Complex 39 and coordinate the ground systems required to send crews toward the Moon.

1981

First Shuttle flight

In 1981, Firing Room One supported STS-1, the first Space Shuttle mission, coordinating the launch systems required to send Columbia into orbit.

2022

Artemis I

In 2022, the modernized Young-Crippen Firing Room controlled Artemis I, the uncrewed flight test that launched NASA's new lunar exploration campaign.

2026

Artemis II

On April 1, 2026, Artemis II launched four astronauts from Pad 39B on Orion's first crewed flight and a nearly 10-day voyage around the Moon.
