remote support authorization
You remain present, informed, and in control.
This notice explains what a customer authorizes during an attended Tech X support session and what remains outside that authorization.
Attended access only
The customer initiates the connection, receives the session ID and one-time credentials from the approved support client, and explicitly approves access. The customer remains present and may stop the session at any time.
Authorized actions
Within the agreed scope, the customer authorizes Tech X to view the screen, use keyboard and pointer input, inspect settings and logs, run diagnostics, change configuration, install or remove approved software, restart applications or the device, and transfer specifically authorized files when necessary.
Credentials and protected information
The customer should type passwords, payment details, MFA codes, recovery keys, and other secrets privately. Tech X will not ask the customer to place those secrets in the public request form.
Session boundaries
Authorization applies only to the agreed attended session and scope. It does not authorize unrelated access, hidden monitoring, permanent unattended credentials, camera or microphone access, or a later connection without new authorization.
Customer preparation
The customer confirms lawful authority over the device and data, closes unrelated private material when practical, discloses irreplaceable data, and maintains a current backup whenever possible before material system changes.
Mobile devices
Apple mobile support uses customer-approved FaceTime screen sharing and remote control where available. Android support may require the customer to approve screen-capture and input-control permissions in RustDesk. Platform security restrictions always apply.
Ending a session
The customer may stop control, close the support application, or end the call at any time. Tech X may also stop when authorization, identity, safety, payment, connectivity, or scope cannot be confirmed.
No surrender of control
The customer retains control of the device and responsibility for final decisions. Authorization to assist does not transfer ownership of the device, account, software license, or data to Tech X.
