Thermal imaging displays surface-temperature differences that can reveal useful patterns associated with framing, plumbing, air movement, moisture, or other concealed conditions. It is combined with construction knowledge, measurements, wall context, and other appropriate verification; it is not X-ray vision and cannot guarantee that every concealed item is visible.

Eligible installations use a complete UL Listed or equivalently listed plug-and-play in-wall television power-relocation system designed for that application. Ordinary extension cords and detachable television power cords are never buried in a wall.
